I would like to take a moment to thank everyone for making our club so successful so far in 2013. The recreational rides are, and have been, fantastic. The races from previous years were all held successfully throughout the Road Racing season. The clubs events are a huge part of the NJBA scene, and Skylands Cycling pulled them off with excellent reviews from racers around the state. The Giro del Cielo has grown substantially and will take on a new image for 2014 using enhanced organization and our new race committee. The race committee will help ensure success and fluidity for all of our events in the coming Cyclo-Cross season and into the Road Race season for 2014.
Special thanks and consideration to Scott and Tiffany, John Scully and both Bobs for really setting the bar for the recreational rides and also to our racers for bringing home spectacular results: Andrew LoGiudice for his performances at BattenKill, The Giro Road Race, State Road Race and more, nice season Andrew. Wyatt Goral for taking the NJ CUP (WOW!), and Andrew Buchanan for an awesome podium finish of 2nd place at the State Masters Championship Criterium and, Webmaster Bob Perlee's WINs! RJ Reisen represented Skylands Cycling amongst the best National Level Juniors to boot. Nice job boys, nice job!
The nomination committee for the 2014 Officers is formed and beginning the process of nominating folks for the positions indicated in the Bylaws, you can check out the positions / duties in the site map on the website. The currently expected open positions are: Vice President, Secretary, and Two Race Directors. The club really needs your support so if you are nominated please consider accepting to help out and be a part of the action.
The Skylands Cycling club picnic is set for Sept. 14th and the Christmas Party for Dec. 7th planning is well underway so save the dates because you won't want to miss them.
